This weekend is Mother's day. I thought about posting a traditional poem in
honor of that day, then I thought perhaps something a bit different would best
suit my readers. This is the result, I
hope you will enjoy this poem.
Promise
You said you saw
What none others could see
You said you saw promise lying deep
Inside of me
The promise was in the way that I smiled
The warm glow in my eyes
That flickered ever so slightly with possibility
You said promise lay in the awareness
That ignited my cinnamon soft skin
Underneath your roaming hand
Promise within a fervent sweet mouth
That met
yours passionately
You said you felt promise
In my long sculpture legs
Wrapped tightly around your waist
Promise in the hungry way
our bodies entwine
And the momentum of our harmonious
Sensual dance
You said you heard promise
Not from the words I spewed
In sensual bliss
But from my body which
spoke in volumes
in the fluid release
in orgasmic tremors
Holding me in your arms
He said, The spark has been ignited
a Promise
made will exist
Promise lay within me
A small beam of hope
inside the darkness
Of a broken spirit
Seeking purchase, seeking light
Promise struggle to find the might
A promise to keep
Through doubt and disbelief
Through pain and tears
Promise finally
emerged
from it’s darken shell
I finally held Promise
An eight pound baby girl
She was the promise
of your seed
given in faith
